I am a New York based artist, painter, drawer, Operations Manager and Head Preparator at The Drawing Center, husband of @lucretiaboredgia , metalhead, native West Virginian, he/him/ya’ll.
I have exhibited my work most notably at The Akron Ohio Museum of Art, Bravin Lee Programs, Mark Moore Gallery (via Beautiful Decay Magazine), Leslie Heller Workspace, PPOW Gallery, and at Takashi Murakami’s Geisai Miami Art Fair. My performance work has been featured at The Knitting Factory New York and The Judson Church. I have lectured at The Jersey City Museum, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and The Drawing Center.
My work has been written about in Art News, The Wall Street Journal, Time Out NY, The San Diego Union Tribune, The Akron Beacon Journal, NYArts Magazine, The New York Sun, and The Columbus Alive. And it has been purchased by The Northern New England Museum of Contemporary Art (NNEMoca) in Burlington, VT, Jean Pigozzi, Steve Shane, Magdalena Sawon and Tamas Banovich of Postmasters Gallery, John Post Lee of Bravin Lee Programs, Amir Fallah of Beautiful Decay Magazine and a host of other private collectors and supportive friends.
I have curated or co-curated shows at 450 Broadway Gallery and The Lodge Gallery in New York City. And I have taught drawing, painting, 2D and 3D design in the Visual Communications Department of The Katherine Gibbs School where I was a portfolio advisor, curator of student work for the school’s gallery, and a member of the curriculum development committee.
I am formerly a contributing writer for NYArts Magazine, Germany’s Zoo Magazine and the now defunct crowndozen.com. Takashi Murakami, Mike Kelley, DEVO’s Mark Mothersbaugh, and Ian MacKaye of Fugazi are but a few of the artists I have had the privilege of working with in the world of wordcraft.
